Few activities bring families closer together than boating. But when dad loves to fish, mom wants to cruise the lake and the kids are into swimming, skiing or wakeboarding, how can one boat possibly meet all their expectations? The engineering team at Triton Boats has solved this puzzle with their new 190 Escape. This innovative fiberglass fish and ski boat brings new dimensions of boating fun to today’s active families.
The unique design of Triton’s 190 Escape makes it incredibly roomy inside, but also surprisingly easy to tow and garage. While a conservative 19 feet in length, its extra-wide 95-inch beam gives it the interior spaciousness of a much longer boat. The Deep Vee hull delivers breathtaking performance with outboards ranging from 125 through 175 horsepower. When paired with a fuel-efficient engine such as Mercury’s new 125 hp OptiMax, the 190 Escape’s fuel capacity of 31 gallons gives it an impressive cruising range, meaning fewer stops for fill-ups.
The luxurious interior of the 190 Escape has a European flair and features twin “floating” fiberglass consoles, walk-through tempered glass windshield, adjustable driver and front passenger bucket seats, and a roomy captain’s console with full gauge cluster. Removable port and starboard passenger seats convert to fishing chairs and a center bench provides additional seating. All seating surfaces are covered with premium marine grade upholstery that’s as durable as it is attractive.
Innovative features abound on the 190 Escape. On the port side, there’s a recessed storage module designed to hold a wake board, and a hidden ski rope storage compartment at the transom. A telescoping boarding ladder makes entering and exiting the boat a breeze. Multiple stainless steel cup holders are strategically placed, and there’s a removable 54-quart cooler. The cabin sports a stereo sound system and a handsome convertible top that can be installed or removed in seconds and folds up for easy storage.
Most fish and ski boats are short on fishing features, but not the 190 Escape. Triton has built an enviable reputation among serious anglers by creating the most advanced fishing boats on the water, and their new multipurpose model incorporates many features normally found only on the most sophisticated tournament bass boats, including spacious front and rear casting decks; pedestal fishing chairs fore and aft; aerated livewell with Triton’s proven “Stay Full” overflow system, timer and recirculation; powerful 24 volt Motor Guide trolling motor with recessed foot control and removable bracket; and dash-mounted Lowrance liquid crystal fish finder. There’s even a giant rod storage locker located behind the rear passenger seats. Of course, the twin consoles and walk-through windshield are welcome additions when you’re fishing in cold, rainy weather.
Thanks to Triton’s Deep Vee hull, the new 190 Escape outperforms all other multi-purpose boats in its class. It planes off in seconds, lifts beautifully for superior performance and enhanced fuel economy, and delivers blazing top-end speed and an incredibly smooth, dry ride. And unlike most fish and skis, the 190 corners like a high-performance bass boat, and is as easy to drive as it is easy to look at.
In spite of its advanced design, the 190 Escape is priced to compete with multi-purpose boats offering far fewer amenities. It comes fully loaded with features that cost extra on most other boats, including ski tow bar, onboard battery charger, floor-mounted ski locker, passenger-side glove box/cooler, deluxe 3-spoke racing wheel and a matching drive-on trailer with foldaway tongue -- a handy feature that allows the boat to be stored in a standard garage. Like all Triton fiberglass boats, it features durable wood-free composite construction and a carries a limited lifetime hull warranty.
