Alliance - Coastal Conservation Association

Posted: 3/14/2002

Triton Boats, a leading manufacturer of fiberglass and aluminum fishing boats for freshwater and saltwater has joined forces with the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) of Texas and Louisiana. Under the terms of the new partnership Triton Boats becomes the official boat for the highly publicized Speckled Trout division of the 2002 CCA Texas S.T.A.R. event and the official boat for the newly formed Dorado division of the 2002 CCA Louisianan S.T.A.R. event.

?Triton Boats wants the angling community to recognize that we are not only present, but also very serious about the saltwater market,? said Earl Bentz, president of Triton Boats. ?What better way to legitimize our presence than by partnering with an organization who we feel most positively influences saltwater fishing. CCA has done a tremendous job protecting the marine resource in recent years, which has significantly improved saltwater fishing for recreational anglers.?

?Partnering with Triton Boat Company seems fitting,? said Bill Kinney, executive director for the CCA Texas S.T.A.R. ?Triton Boats has certainly become a household name in the recreational fishing industry and has also shown a keen sensitivity to ensuring the health of our marine resource for existing and future generations of fisherman.?

Triton intends to leverage this affiliation in its efforts to develop and market new saltwater models that will definitely appeal to anglers in these two (TX. and LA.) important coastal regions.
