Triton 21HP Carries Chapman to Winner’s Circle on Toledo Bend

MURFREESBORO, TN. (June 11, 2012) – Triton pro Brent Chapman earned his first BASS Elite Series tournament victory this past weekend. The Lake Quivira, Kan., native weighed in over 83-pounds of fish during the four-day event at Toledo Bend. The Triton pro cashed a $100,000 check for his winning effort. Chapman ran a Triton 21HP and with the victory claimed the top spot in the Angler of the Year race.

“I put my Triton through the ultimate test – professional bass fishing,” said Chapman. “It never fails me when I need it most, and this tournament was huge for me and my family. I’ve been at this gig for quite some time so winning one of these tournaments is a big deal.”

Chapman looks forward to competing more in the future as he wrapped up a Bassmaster Classic birth with the win. Chapman continued, “To make the Classic was a key goal for me this year. I’ve had some great tournaments this year, and I look forward to the Classic on Grand Lake this year.”

The Bassmaster Elite Series will travel next to LaCrosse, Wis., for the June 21-24 Mississippi River Rumble.
